What is running
Registration has closed; the auditions are the part still to watch
TikTok's newsroom post, published 13 August 2026, says creators could register for Music on Stage until 14 August, with auditions opening on 15 August and global finals named for 18 September 2026 across more than 20 regions. If you are reading this on the publication date, the registration window has already passed. The LIVE broadcasts themselves are still ahead, and watching a competitive LIVE format is a free way to study pacing, hosting and audience handling.

Regional check
"More than 20 regions" is not a list of countries
The announcement names a British host for EMEA and the Americas, an APAC host, and two United States festivals. It does not name Australia. That is not evidence either way: an unnamed market may still be included, and a named one may still have its own entry conditions. Treat the region question as unanswered until the official programme account or your own in-app entry point answers it.

The workshop series is the quieter, more useful story
TikTok's Community Fest 2026 post, published 8 June 2026, describes a workshop series streamed on official LIVE accounts covering broadcast basics, holding an audience in the first few minutes, and building a community with platform tools. That series wraps this month. For most creators it is worth more than a competition entry, and it costs nothing but the time to watch.

What has not changed
A programme is not a policy change
Neither post changes who can go LIVE, how Gifts or Diamonds work, or how rewards are calculated in any individual account. If you see a claim that this programme unlocks LIVE access or raises a payout rate, that claim is not coming from these sources. Account-level conditions are still the only place your own answer lives.
